Due to the sad and maybe a bit to optimistic linernotes on Schnitzelbilly Vol. 6 back in 2020, let’s get back to the really important things in life: Austria and beer - Austria is always at the forefront when it comes to beer consumption. Mr. and Mrs. Austria drink about 100 liters of beer per person a year - quite a lot! It is not for nothing that we are often referred to as the worlds beer nation, with an average of 103 liters per capita in 2020. Here in Europe were only the Czechs with 143 liters and the Germans 104 liters are thirstier - and to round off the extensive information, there is another piece of remarkable information: one of the Austrian places with the strangest name in german-speaking countries, Fucking, was renamed to Fugging, but that doesn't matter because everyone knows anyway: Austria isn’t shaped like a bizarre guitar by accident – it’s because we rock!
