The Dangerous Curves are a brand new 5-piece from U.K.!
Originally formed as a three piece, just for fun, the band grew into a five-piece very quickly to get a fuller sound.
Tracks:
A-Side: I Cast A Lonesome Shadow
B-Side: Mixed Up Confusion
Label: Migraine Records
Format: 7 Inch / 45 rpm
File under: Rockabilly / Hillbilly / Bluegrass
Pressing: 500 copies / handnumbered
Extraordinairy!!! Sophisticated!! Unique!!
Well, the band line-up is all in once
Line-Up:
Bill Fadden - Bill Fadden & the Rhythmbusters
Tony Biggs - Torment - Rimshots - Bill Fadden & the Rhythmbusters
Steve Klunky Clarke - Coffin Nails
Phil Morgan - Tennessee Rhythm Riders / Western Aces and also Shooting Stars founder member
Ben Walsh - too much too mention
As you can see, a topnotch mixture of musicians, so whilst Bill (vox/rh. guitar) and Tony (doublebass) are from pure Rockabilly Outfits,
Phil (steel guitar) joined straight from the Westernswingtrails, whilst Ben (fiddle) feels at home in many stiles.
Maybe the biggest surprise is Steve Klunky Clarke (lead guitar), so he is better known as Humungus (frontman of legendary Psychobillyband The Coffin Nails)
and most people out there don't know that he is also an fantastic Hillbilly & Westernguitar player.
RESULT: DANGEROUS CURVES
The two tracks are both coverversions, which they recorded in their very own stile and brings the Stratospheric sound of late Northwood Records back in mind.
The record got already some pre-airplay at Steve Stack-O-Wax Radioshow, Bill Smokers Rockabilly DJ Podcast etc. and is rated by some well known rockin' DJ's as one of THEE bands in 2015.
Also first Festival and clubbookings in the books, like Hoedown Weekender etc.
WATCH OUT!!!!!
