Wayne Hopkins is one of the world's top bass players. 

A consummate pro, who's played with almost everyone in a career spanning 4 decades, and yet this is his first solo release. 

The 'A' side is a great "Green Onions" style number with Chuck Berry's lyrics from "Maybellene". 

A strange combination, but it works a treat. 

As for the 'B' side, well you'd never guess that Wayne's hero was Charles Mingus. 

It's more of a Manson than a Mingus thing, and the term 'wild rock n roll' would be a gross understatement!
