With Twelve Solo Albums To His Credit, He Is Now Receiving Critical Acclaim Within The Roots Music Scene, As Well As Gaining Support From A Much Wider Audience - Outside The Confines Of Rock 'N' Roll - Through His Ability To Mix Country, Rockabilly, '60s Pop And Blues.
He Has Also Appeared On A Further 50 Plus Albums, Working For Other Artists In Other Musical Roles Such As Session Guitarist, Producer, Songwriter Or Musical Arranger.
As A Session Guitarist He Has Worked With A Number Of American And British Rock 'N' Roll And Rockabilly Legends, From The '50s Up To The Present, Including: Billy Lee Riley, Glen Glenn, Sonny Burgess, Vernon Taylor, Linda Gail Lewis, Johnny Carroll, Screamin' Lord Sutch, Shakin' Stevens, And Wee Willie Harris.
In 1999, Aria Uk Endorsed Darrel To Promote Gretsch Guitars And He Is Now A Proud Peavey Endorsee Using Their Amps Guitars And Pa Equipment. Darrel Has Also Designed A Semi-Acoustic Guitar, Which Is Due To Go Into Production Shortly.
Darrel Has Also Worked In The West End, Playing Guitar And Portraying 50's Rock Legend Eddie Cochran For The Revival Of Jack Good's Elvis The Musical. This Led To His Own Show Touring The Country At Various National Theatres.
In May 2000, Mainstream Books Published A Book Darrel Had Been Working On For Nearly Three Years. Co-Written With Author Julie Mundy, Don't Forget Me - The Eddie Cochran Story, Was Released To Commercial And Critical Acclaim, And Has Helped To Significantly Boost Darrel's Musical Career To A Wider, More Commercial Audience. Darrel 'S Work In 2001 Also Included A Second Cochran Connection Album As Well As Working On Sessions With Jeff Beck And Chrissie Hynde. Then Darrel Closed The Year By Collaborating Again With Julie Mundy To Form Hunka Burnin' Records And Publishing, Producing Ghost Of Love, His Ninth Solo Release.
